Assalamu’alaikum,

Hi, everyone. It’s my first posting on this blog, so I will not use very formal language here, lol 😀 I must admit that it’s a bit embarrassing for me because it’s my first posting; meanwhile, most of my friends in office they might have posted many things here. Yet, late is better than never, isn’t it? Some say it should be achieved 15 postings on months, I’m not really sure I’m able, but let’s see! ^_^

On this first posting, I guess it’s better for all of you know more a little bit about me. Even some might have known me, lol. I’m Yuningsih, friends call me Yuyun, Nyun, Yunet, but mostly call me Ms Yuyun. Yeah here, at Applied Science School Faculty, most known me as the Korean Virus agent. Why? because I spread the virus, not all people could easily effected, though. I was born in Cirebon, all my family are still living there and some in Bandung. Age of 6, I moved to Prabumulih together with my parents and sibling, and spent my all school years there. After having graduated from my High School, I decided to move to Bandung with some reasons. First, the education quality is better. Second, it’s easier to visit my family, especially my grand parents. Last but not least, I love being independent 🙂 Both parents are still living in Prabumulih, but planning to move to Cirebon next year as none of their children want to live in Prabumulih, lol 😀

As for subject of study, I teach English for all levels. I have started joining this institution since 2007. It was from as an Instructor in Language Center,  then during times and some changes here I am, as a Lecturer of this Instituation. I must say my path for having this job was a luck and blessing because I got it only after some months I graduated from my Bachelor degree graduation. I was recommended by my lecturer at university where she is also teaching in this institution. She’s bu Aisyah, one of my favorite lecturers. Thank you, Bu Aisyah. Love you ^_^

English is my main language in this job, but as I’m a language lover. I have learnt some other foreign languages, such as Arabic, French, Mandarin, Japanese and Korean. First time I got Arabic, it was when in Tsanawiyah Junior High School. I got Arabic for almost 3 years but until now I can’t speak Arabic. For French, it’s an interesting language, but after some months I learnt I found the pronunciation of French would disturb and mix up my English pronunciation. Just stop learning it! Not interest me at all! As for Korean, Japanese and Mandarin, I’m definitely sure three of them still interest me to master them but having some preferences on each languages. I guess Korean is the language that I can speak, write and read (not advanced yet,though); meanwhile, for Japanese I can speak a little bit and still eager to learn its writing and reading. Yet for Mandarin, I really have no interest to learn deeply to its writing and reading. For me, speaking Mandarin is more than enough, hahaha 😀

Besides languages, I put interest also in psychology and personality development. It’s just great if can understand people from their personality and psychology view. Moreover, my psychology lecturer, Mbak Tina Dahlan when taking my Bachelor, is very great person. She is my mentor and best friend. She inspired me to learn more and more about psychology. Another hobby I have is travelling, I prefer to travel only once in a year but visiting a country that I never visit. I call this as “Passport Stamp Agenda”. The experience of visiting other countries really challenged me and gave me new view and perspective in seeing life and facing people. I never use travel agent to do this hobby. All the travelers must know that feeling, ahahaha 😀

I guess that’s enough for my introduction. Just look forward to my another postings, guys.
Ahaa, in this time being I’m very active in Instagram. Yet, you won’t find many personal pictures of mine, as I use those Instagram accounts for my language learning practice  and my photography captures ^_^
